WATERFRONT PHOTOS

WATERFRONT PHOTOS
Deakin University, Waterfront Campus, Geelong, Victoria 3216

In this image you can see a reinforced concrete column being held in place with supports to make sure the structure sets and is in place sufficiently while construction continues on the rest of the building
In this image there are a variety of connections used. There are two seated joins on the two I beams that sit on each side of the beam. Two beams are just bolted to the outer faces of the beam and then travel into the pre cast concrete wall. And also a single cylindrical beam that has a simple bracket welded on to the beam which is then bolted to the flattened end of the cylindrical beam.
In this image you can see the mass connection point of the column to the floor bracket and then the connection between the bracket and the concrete floor.
In this image you can see the connections/ bracket that will hold glass panels to the concrete slab of the building and this will create a glass facade.
In this image you can see again that the beams meeting at the column are simply being held in place by seated joins, with another beam at the top of the column running perpendicular to the first two in held in place with a simple bracket welded to the top of the column.

Good job on the analysis of the sites. I learnt quite a bit from reading your blog.
