SUPERMARKET PHOTOS

in this image you can see the connection between the new steel work and the old steel work. The old column has one channel beams on each side the join to other beams to continue the overall beam structure by shim plates.
In this image you can see how the steel frame work joins up to the existing brick wall of the old office section of the building. The connection of the steel work that is shown is wide flange beam which has small wide flange beams protruding from the central section to help create the roofing frame work. This main beam joins a pre existing column which is built into the brick wall which has spacers screwed to it so services can be placed in between the existing brick wall and the new proposed plasterboard sheets to go over the spacers to create the finished product.
In this image you can see steel beams bolted to the pre cast concrete walls.
In the above image you can see the steel frame work of the building again bolted to the pre cast concrete slabs. This steel structure holds up the timber roofing structure.
In the above image displays a wide flange beam connection with a shim plate on one side to allow the beam to continue across to the other side of the building so that the roofing structure can continue to hold up the roofing elements such as insulation, mesh, iron roofing sheets and guttering systems.
In this photo, the combination of pre existing building and new faming for the new building can be seen. The pre existing timber frame is made up of hardwood timbers from the old supermarket frame of the Safeway building. The timber is connected to a new steel frame which in turn in holding up the new mesh and insulation for the roof.
